Thank you for using HeyMelody! HeyMelody is an app for your earphones that lets you easily set functions and receive firmware upgrades. HeyMelody is provided by HEYTAP PTE. LTD. and its affiliated companies (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", or "our", with our registered address at 138 MARKET STREET, #15-03, CAPITAGREEN, SINGAPORE (048946)). We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Data Processing Statement explains to you how your data will be processed and how you can manage your data when you use HeyMelody.

Before using HeyMelody, please carefully read this Data Processing Statement to understand what data and how your data will be processed by HeyMelody when you use HeyMelody.

1. Overview

When you install HeyMelody, your data will be processed locally only within your device and will be inaccessible to us. Therefore, you have complete control over the processing of your data. We also cannot access, collect, transmit, or otherwise process your data, and we cannot disclose your data to a third party or otherwise use your data. Please understand that this Data Processing Statement is not intended to fulfill the obligation of information imposed by applicable data protection laws, such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Instead, it is intended to help you understand how your data is processed locally when you use HeyMelody. Therefore, if you wish to exercise your rights to your data, such as your right to changes or your right to deletion, we may be unable to respond to your request, and we will only provide you with guidance on how you can process your data by yourself.

2. Types of Data Processed Locally by HeyMelody

When you use HeyMelody, the app will process the following data:

     •  When you pair or manage a wearable device via HeyMelody to control your device (such as when you pair or manage your earphones), the app needs to collect the Bluetooth address, Wi-Fi, device data such as device name, model, volume setting, and battery level, as well as your settings. The transmission of the foregoing data occurs only between your wearable device and HeyMelody.

     •  When you check whether there are available software updates, HeyMelody will display your current firmware version. If there is currently an available upgrade package that matches the model and language of the device that you are using, the upgrade package will be displayed on your screen for downloading when you need it.

3. How We Retain Your Personal Information

When you uninstall or reset the app or manually clear the app data, the data stored within the app will be deleted. Please see the "Your Rights and Choices Regarding Your Data" section to learn more.

4. How We Protect Your Personal Information

The security of your personal information is very important to us. We have introduced safeguards up to industry standards to protect the personal information provided by you from unauthorized access, disclosure, use, or alteration, or from damage or loss. We will take all reasonably practicable measures to protect your personal information. For example:

    （1) We use mainstream security means such as SSL to encrypt a number of services. Except in rare cases, most of the data within the app will be encrypted to ensure a high level of protection for it.

    （2) We will provide training, tests, and education in security and privacy protection to raise our employees' awareness of the importance of protecting your data and ensure that privacy compliance measures are embedded in HeyMelody.

    （3) We use international and industry-recognized standards to protect your personal information and actively acquire certifications of security and privacy protection.

    （4) Please note that although we have taken reasonable measures to protect your personal information, no websites, internet transmissions, computer systems, or wireless connections are absolutely secure. This is also true of your use of HeyMelody.

5. Your Rights and Choices Regarding Your Data

You can manage your data by yourself in the following ways:

     • Directly accessing your data or changing your data. You can use HeyMelody to directly access or change your data. If you cannot access or change your personal data by yourself, or if you encounter any problems in this process, you can contact us by using the contact information provided in the "Contact Us" section and request access to your data as described in this section.

     • Deleting your data. You can delete your data directly from the page of the relevant feature of HeyMelody. For example, you can delete your personal data by going to Settings or by uninstalling HeyMelody (your data is only saved locally).

     • Device permissions. You can disable the corresponding device permissions by going to Settings to withdraw your consent to specific features of HeyMelody and withdraw our right to collect data based on device permissions.

6. How This Data Processing Statement Is Updated

We reserve the right to update or modify this Data Processing Statement from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes to this Statement in a manner we deem appropriate, and we will update the date "Last updated" at the top of this Statement. We will fully inform you particularly when we start to process your data as a result of any changes to our services (for example, when we start to be able to access data stored within HeyMelody on your device, or to provide services to you, or when we start to transmit your personal data to our server).
